If you're unable to connect to CIFS/SMB Network Shares & Shared Folders in Windows 10 or Server 2016 or newer it may be due to Microsoft removing support for insecure "guest".
Please consult your OS documentation and/or official Microsoft guidance on re-enabling this option.
